What people say about celebrating New Year's in Newport

The New Year’s Eve ball at Rosecliff Mansion was like stepping into a movie! The live orchestra played jazz while we danced in a gorgeous room with chandeliers and ocean views. They even served a midnight toast with champagne and local oysters that were so fresh.

Watching the fireworks from Bowen’s Wharf was amazing because the reflections on the water made them even prettier. Before the show, I grabbed some clam chowder from a food stall, and it was the best I’ve ever had. Everyone was so friendly, and the atmosphere felt like a small-town celebration but full of energy.

We joined the Polar Plunge on Easton’s Beach on New Year's Day, and it was wild but fun! Afterward, we warmed up with hot cocoa at The Chanler’s bar, which had a cozy fireplace and stunning sea views. Walking along Cliff Walk earlier that weekend, with holiday lights still glowing, made the whole trip unforgettable.
